The major of Biological Engineering is jointly offered by School of International Education and School of Life Science and Food Engineering, through undergraduate study and training, master the basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, engineering, biological engineering and industrialization of scientific principle, technological process and engineering design theory and engineering practice ability, in the light industry, medicine, fermentation, environmental protection, modern agriculture, disease control and prevention, health detection and other fields in biological technology and engineering related production, management, quality analysis and control, design and research of new technologies and new product development work, become application-oriented talents with basic training of front-line engineers in the field of biotechnology and engineering.
生物工程专业由国际教育学院联合生命科学与食品工程学院开设，通过本科培养，掌握生物学、化学、工程学基本知识，具备生物工程及其产业化的科学原理、工艺技术过程和工程设计等基础理论和工程实践能力，在轻工、医药、发酵、环保、现代农业、疾病预防控制、卫生检测等领域从事与生物技术和工程相关的生产、管理、品质分析与控制、设计、新技术研究、新产品开发等方面工作，获得生物技术与工程领域一线工程师基本训练的高素质应用型人才。
